Buc McMaster
Well here we go! Started banging on this one yesterday and hope to have it ready for the Sunday open mic stage........it ain't there yet...... Lots of words that have to be spit out in a hurry, lots of quick chord changes.......and the timing of the ending is pretty tricky......didn't hit it here like I want to but it's close. It'll get better! Please feel free to hop aboard with the harmony! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CiSGB7i704

duluthdan
I much liked that. Could've been my college theme song! Rode a train east and west across Minnesota on a 3 car train with wooden benches nailed to the floor. No backs on 'em, just the bench. My buddy used to bring his D35 on board and we sang that song for 200 miles. Role it out, great rendition. Maybe the crowd will provide the harmonies. EddieNYC
That was absolutely fantastic! I hope to be there someday. Everything just unravels for me when I start to add or think about lyrics while I'm playing.
MorrisrownSal
Great job Buc. Ironically this is the second time that song crept into my life this week. The 1st time someone showed my a couple of 1970s variety show musicians singing it on the TV, clearly not knowing what the song was about.
Buc McMaster
Thanks for listening! Worked this one most of the day yesterday and, if it don't come a flood this afternoon, I think I can pull it off. Tempo here is a bit quick, works better a few beats slower.....that's what workin' it is for! Thanks, folks! ......a couple of 1970s variety show musicians singing it on the TV........ That would be Gale and Dale on the Lawrence Welk Show.......pretty funny! At the end of the video Mr Welk notes that they did a wonderful job on a "modern spiritual".
