Twang Gang
Pretty sure all the ES Les Pauls are made in the Memphis plant. Not sure if the 2014 serial numbers indicate a batch or unit number. Gibson changes serial number protocols often.
Golden
14 from Memphis sounds right, they play great, good hardware, light and resonate. The Gibson MHS pickups are new to that guitar in 2014, scatter-wound with uneven coils, like the old PAF's, the MHS stands for "Memphis Historic Spec" Humbuckers which are Alnico 3 in the neck and Alnico 2 in the bridge. As to the tone I like them in the ES, I never played them in anything else and have heard various opinions. Nice guitar, congratulations.
