Cool. Some of the other guys here also speak Spanish and English like Thundergod who is from Ecuador. I try to translate some of the posts that aren't in English using Babelfish but it's far from perfect; I can usually get an idea of what the person wrote, but I'm certain that a bit of it gets lost.

That's why I became an Imagery Analyst instead of the usual translator stuff.

It didn't help, I still ended up either translating or doing flag-rank briefings.

Its a good thing you can get medals out of being there at the right time, translator duty has a certain way of driving Generals crazy, they usually don't have any idea where to look.

 

Not everyone adheres to the Royal Academy, so, I know I can wing it most of the time.

That goes for other languages, we'll make it happen.

I also speak Spanish, but not well enough to translate. I'd never survive in Spain or South America, they just talk too fast for me to keep up with. I guess it would take some acculturation. In a forum setting I can be useful, though.

 

I'd leave most of the translating up to Thunder and Dave, though...
