LarryUK
When I think of Les Paul's, I think of.. Peter Frampton. Joe Walsh. Jimmy Page. Steve Lukather Toto4. Mick Jones. Foreigner. Paul Kossof Marc Bolan. I think most of these have been as much an influence as Slash. Especially Page and Frampton.
jdgm
......If you have 20 years on me, you'd say Joe Perry, right? Hah! Who? Not b****y likely! .......Mike Bloomfield, Eric Clapton, or Peter Green........Les's name, is enough for me! CB When I think of Les Paul's, I think of.. Peter Frampton. Joe Walsh. Jimmy Page. Steve Lukather Toto4. Mick Jones. Foreigner. Paul Kossof Marc Bolan. I think most of these have been as much an influence as Slash. Especially Page and Frampton. All true and unarguable, but Scales has a point - no-one has come through as a big-time LP player since Slash. I don't see anyone on the horizon yet either, but then I am old. And though I hate G'nR (find the 'singing' unbearable) he is a very fine player. He soloed on Michael Jackson's "Give In To Me" and it's very good indeed. IMO... Steve sold lord knows how many white Customs for Gibson.
