badbluesplayer
Here's a Lewis Electric KR12 that was damaged in transit - the chassis was ripped out of the cabinet. The original amp was designed for Hubert Sumlin and Keith Richards bought it from him the first time he used it. It's an awesome amp - an EL34 version of a Tweed Bassman with a master volume and few nice touches. It plays real nice lahk.
surfpup
Oh man, that's cool! An EL34 based tweed Bassman sounds like heaven to me - best of both worlds. Is the tone stack more Fender(ish) or Marshall(ish)? - I see a mid-control, so that's a plus. You gotta record a clip of that one when you are done! Californiaman
I remember reading about Louis Electric Amps a few years ago. Everything I read indicated that they are fine amplifiers used by some of the world's best musicians. Cool, cool, cool.

I didn't get to record anything but man is it sweet!! It sounds Tweedy at lower volume but gets the Marshall midrangey thing going when you crank it. I think I'm going to make a head like it. We "blueprinted" the thing so we know what all the fuss is about.

The customer got about a $900. settlement for the shipping damage, including $375 worth of NOS tubes.
