ES 335 Pickguard

Does anyone know a source for a replacement "short" pickguard for a 335 with p90's? Ebay, stewmac, allparts, etc only seem to have the humbucker versions.

What are the dimensions from pickup to pickup? A Casino guard might just work. Plenty of places that have those, even ones that sell without the bracket hole, for a true 335 look.

The Casino pickguards are too long on the neck side and too wide between the pickups (65mm), but they do have the narrower (40mm) cutouts for p90's. What I need is something no more than 59mm between the pickups (like the ES335), but with 40mm p90 cutouts. All of the 335 guards I've seen have wider (45mm) cutouts for humbuckers. A p90 equipped ES335 pickguard would be exactly the right dimensions, but it seems that either such a guitar doesn't exist or it never came with pickguard.

Try TerrapinGuitars. They have online templates, that you can print out, and make alterations to, for situations like this. You can scan the marked up template, or mail it to them and they'll make it for you. I've used them for a half dozen guards and as mentioned, you can order with no bracket hole.

Thanks, I'll give them a try.

Is the shape more like the Casino Coupe pickguard?

Yes, that's very close to what I want- except I believe the pickups on the Wildkat are closer together than on the Coupe. If anyone happens to have a Coupe lying about, I'd appreciate some measurements.

I've never used them so can't comment on their satisfying your needs, but I knew that Tweed had used them before and would chime in soon. I did a search for Terrapin, but didn't think to include "guitars". I'm sooooo search challenged. Anyway, my two cents is that they're worth a try.
