Joel Sumerlin
Dear Folks, My brand new SG Jr. tunes up fine and sounds great until I try to play it. First position chords sound out of tune and according to my tuner sharp almost a full quarter . I purchased this from a local Minneapolis dealer who set it up for me yesterday, am I missing something??? Thanks
ksdaddy
I would immediately suspect high nut slots. If the nut is too high, you can easily push the strings out of tune at the first position.
Eades
What's the note like at the 12th fret It's hard to fully intonate a wrap around bridge but will slightly adjust
Joel Sumerlin
Thank you so much for your reply, I did check it and it is equally as sharp as the 2nd fret..
Pinch
I would return it/have them fix it ASAP.
Eracer_Team
Normally people put in the title of their post like a subject..ie SG sharp on chords not normally their name. But you comment on open position chords are sharp, Don't press the strings all the way to the fret board.
