Sybo Posted August 5, 2020 Posted August 5, 2020 Anyone had their LP pleked? I am in a good place with my LP neck, but could be better. I know I could get those strings a little lower and a little cleaner sounding....... Quote

First take a precautionary step to check if any frets have lifted, there's some youtube content that can help explain that. It's pretty easy to clean up a few high spots. Quote

Plekking levels and evens them, corrects them in relation to each other, it's a fancy machine for what was once done by hand. It isn't for lowering strings. "a little cleaner sounding" generally doesn't happen by lowering them ever. rct Quote
