THE HOLY GRAIL PICKUPS (a poem) Here they are, the Holy Grail pickups perfect in every way Not for kids, these are for grownups These are the best, I would not lead you astray Perfect in tone, timbre and visual attraction and I swear I'm not kidding They bring me guitar playing satisfaction under skilled fingers, they do my bidding But what's that you say? They aren't for you? There are far better ones available today? And these over here are brand new? They are shiny. And sparkly and fizzy. They deliver growl and squawk and quack. So many fabulous sounds, they make you dizzy The newest vintage thing, that's a fact, Jack. In the end, I must reach one conclusion and it's true whether you chicken-pick or shred Holy Grail tone is equal parts illusion and the fantasies in our head The guitar pickup makers, they aren't dumb and they know what makes them money So many players with disposable income and eager, open wallets, honey I say make the most of what you got attack the thing from a different angle Learn new techniques, adjust the Tone pot and ignore the latest carrot that they dangle fin Okay, I'm gonna shut up now.😑 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
