ddsax422
I am trying to find a vibrola/tremolo system for my SG Standard. The SG that I have has the batwing pick guard, so I know that there is at least one vibrola/tremolo system that will not fit. Are there any options out there that I should look at? pohatu771
You can use a Bigsby B5 (paired with a Vibramate V5-ST to avoid irreversible modifications and fit the large pickguard). The Dusenberg Les Trem replaces the stop bar. Similar to the Bigsby and Vibramate, you can get a Dusenberg Tremola and Tremola adapter. kidblast
as pohatu771 suggests, Bigsby/Vibramate will do it. Here's my '05 SG Classic with that modifcation. 100% reversable and works great. h
Larsongs
The best looking on an SG is the Maestro for sure… Check here… https://www.wdmusic.com/wd-music-products-replacement-lyre-maestro-style-vibrola-for-gibson-guitars-details.html
mihcmac
My Duesenberg Les Trem II works for me, easy to install and only uses the stopbar screws for mounting. Edited October 3, 2021 by mihcmac

diamoroso
I just recently added a B6 Bigsby to my 335 with the Towner kit and it’s really awesome. Install was easy and drill free. I am already considering an SG to add the B3 with the Towner Kit.
mihcmac
I also have a Les Trem II installed on my 339, a nice thing is the adjustable dive bar that can be set to dive almost as far as a Strat. For guitars with a lot of string angle I usually install a roller bridge as well.
