It looks like they ain't going away anytime soon.

Still enjoying my SR15's, no problems, they just keep on cookin'.

Were they supposed to be going away? 🤨

I was just implying that they are surviving the cheap amp syndrome, they do seem to share a Laney mother board.

I have had them for a few years now and the opportunity to compare them many other much more expensive amps, the sound in my head, that I want, is easy to dal in.

All of my P90 guitars get the sound I want through them, even single because I tend leave one in the bands practice room and one at home like below.

With the addition of the hum eliminator, I can use any of my P90 guitars in any situation with zero noise.

The Guitaristas guy commented about how uncomfortable theLP was to play sitting down after playing his SG, cracked me up, because I feel the way.

Also his comment that Murray's mighty Humbuckers were designed to sound like P90's.

Good to hear the endorsement, but your word carries more weight than his mihcmac

Thank you MR Merciful for you comment.  I enjoyed The Guitaristas presentation because it wasn't slick and polished, just a player telling us what he thinks. I watched the whole thing and enjoyed the presenter despite the repetitive topic editing even though being sponsored by Murray.

Since I use P90's they tend to not be that clean to start with even on a brittlely clean amp. In order for my P90's to get clean the guitar volume needs to be set around 6.

Good point. I tend to leave them on max. Noted.

I have no P90 equipped guitars now. They are the sort of sound I prefer, but often somehow too 'exaggerated', but then discovered they sound great on hollow & semi-hollow guitars. I eventually got a Epi  Casino Coupe and then a Fender TC 90. The Fender sounded terrific and I really wanted to keep it for that sound alone, but as usual with Fenders I just couldn't play the dnm thing.

I had a few experiences with Tele's, as it turned out I should have kept the G&L.

The swamp-ash Tele that I kept, has turned out to be too heavy for my back to play very much. I modded it to function like my Blueshawk with hum-cancelling and Vari-Tone.

My Blueshawk being a few pounds lighter with good balance and a belly cut in the right place. Also the body geometry is more like an SG, meaning the lower bout is in a good position for sitting or standing.

My Stage Right 15 works really well with these guitars and its nice having two matching amps in different locations, which I can easily match the controls to get my latest sound tweaks.

Yep, I remember that TC90, a DC version that came out before the Jim Atkins JA90 of which my swamp-ash Tele is a copy. Very Nice Mr Merciful.

I do love mirrored body shape DC's...

To sum up the HB Tube 15 and the Stage Right 15, they do seem to have a Laney circuit board, JJ tubes, a Celestion Seventy 80 12" 8Ω speaker, an unmarked spring reverb and versatile controls. A price that fluctuates around 250 US with free shipping. They do not sound like a brutally clean Fender, but perhaps more like a old Vox being pushed. In addition one amp ( I have 2) is capable of getting quite loud with usable harmonic distortion right up to peak. After adding a new singer I have had to bring it down quite a bit. People have commented that changing the first pre-amp tube and upgrading the speaker will improve the sound a bit, depending on the sound in your head you want to get. All in all, its safe bet that this is a versatile practice amp that is powerful enough to play a small venue.

Note that I have really pushed this amp outdoors many times and it can be quite a hand full approaching full volume.

The Stage Right SB12 has been out for about a year, the 50 watt 6L6 powered combo has a few other changes from the 15 watt version, but still uses the same 12" Seventy 80 Celestion. So far the reviews are pretty good.

I don't think Harley Benton has an equivalent at this time.

But It does list Fuse Types 120 VAC: F3.15A250V,   240 VAC: F1.6A250V, so it might be switchable to 240VAC.
