Hey all.

I haven't ever used this website since this would be the first time i have ever bought any sort of electric guitar.

The guitar in question is a used Gibson Les Paul 50's Tribute from 2016.

The seller is extremely nice but i thought i couldn't be too safe, i have some images.

Regards, Oliver.

If it's fake they did a pretty good job on the front of the headstock. The tuners look right.  I have two Gibson electrics. Neither has the word "MODEL" on the back of the headstock.  Serial number doesn't come up in two of the lookup services I know of.   Go https://serial-number-decoder.com/gibson/gibson.htm here and enter it and it tells you the guitar is from 1960. That probably doesn't mean much though since their serial numbers have been known to be a bit "off" from time to time.

There's a "1" to the left of the "6"...

I think the "MODEL" stamp is how it's done on the Tributes?

Check the truss rod nut. But it looks perfectly legit from here.

You should have the opportunity to look at the paper documents , the Americans use to make the number 4 in a unique way  look at that , it looks like real  but  the service number seems to be a little bit round if i look at the 0  and 6

Huh?

Yep  this is a thing that my Italian luthier , the great  LUCIO CARBONE  explain to me  to work out   other than seeing the guitar itself ,to look  also at  papers if that is a fake or not , the Americans  almost always do the number four in this way

same kind of four   ........       https://ibb.co/tzJNpY2
