Oringo
Guitars I used to have: 64 Harmony/Silvertone-my first electric-it got hot-rodded a zillion different ways, Gibson humbuckers, Dimarzios, vintage Tele bridge pickup, home-made DeArmond stacked humbuckers, finally finished as an 8-string bass... 65 Harmony-stayed original, was actually a great playing guitar, but I was ashamed to show up at a gig when all the other guys had Strats and Les Pauls mid 60's Hagstrom-guitar shaped object-not sure if one could call it a musical instrument ca. 1950 Very early Gretsch Electromatic-no cutaway, one DeArmond pickup, great sound, hard to play 1968 Gibson Firebird V-12- strung as a 6 string, great guitar, have fond memories of it 1964 Gibson Firebird I-great mojo, great looks-enjoyed playing the non-reverse V-12 more... After not touching guitars for over 15 years I got back into it because of my kids! 2005 LAG Roxanne- double-cut Les Paul inspired French guitar-the highend LAG stuff can hold its own with PRS and TA's best stuff. This is a MIC student guitar I bought for my son after trying several Epis and Squiers-definitely a notch above 1980 Orville by Gibson reverse Firebird-great MIJ workmanship, real Gibson mini-humbuckers, can't really tell the difference in sound between this set-neck copy and a through neck modern re-issue 1966 Gibson Firebird VII-got it as a refinned, re-fretted bitsa, now restored and just plain great 2006 Oringo Tele-Vette-Bird, also known as "Man-Bear-Pig" Started with a Stew-Mac maple/Ebony through-neck, added mahogany wings from a 62 Gretsch Corvette and a Tele bridge. Sporting a vintage p-90 and a Broadcaster bridge pickup. Came out very nice, got to get around to varnishing it, though... 1984 E series Squier MIJ Strat-sonny boy wanted a Strat, so...50's style maple neck and pickguard. A very nice guitar, very, very well made! The E series has Japanese pups, and they're supposed to be lousy, but, this thing sounds very, very good! I can get just about any sound I want out of it, so I'm leaving it stock There's a bunch of basses, too, but no Gibsons for now so I won't bother listing them
kruliosis
2005 Gibson SG Standard 2006 Reverend Jetstream HB 90's Jackson 3 Performer 2001 Warwick Streamer bass Not too many toys in my closet, but enough to keep me busy. I DID have my dad's 62 Gibson hollowbody for about 10 years, but he wanted it back.
