KaityUK
Hi all, A few years ago I purchased an awesome gold top that seems to be a bit of a mystery (well to me, anyway). It was sold to me as a 50's Tribute, allegedly bought from the Gibson factory by a fellow Brit who brought it back to the UK, with intention of learning to play; which they never did. What's odd is that it wasnt set up and has some buckle rash on the back. I assumed at first that it was a factory demo, but then thought that it would have been set up if that was the case. It came in a black Gibson Gear case, and not a brown factory one, which adds to the mystery. It has a chrome 'Tribute' 'High Performance' nut cover and the G-force tuning unit fitted to it. The model number on the registration card is HLPTR1756CH1 (the last '1' could be an 'I') Can anyone share any info on to what this is?
