surfpup
Finally got the David Grissom SE that I ordered like 9 months ago! I always wanted his signature model but dragging a nearly $3k guitar to gigs seems unwise. When they announced the SE version I ordered it right away. I've been using the PRS SE 24 Vintage Sunburst onstage almost exclusively for almost two years and have really enjoyed it. But the DG controls are more to my liking. This weekend I'm going to try the new DG at a gig and will then decide which is the keeper... or.... yeah.... no.... I don't really need both. I use other guitars for other tunings so two PRS will really be overkill. Wish me luck.... Edited September 28, 2023 by surfpup
merciful-evans
Nice one. I was not aware of the Grissom guitar. I prefer the covered PUs, and also the finish. But I would prefer the simpler controls & the 24 frets of the other one. I also have a SE Custom 24, though I have not played it for a couple of months. Let us know which is the keeper when you decide.

surfpup
I played four sets with it tonight at a car show... we are in love. Does everything the other one does, but the neck is a little fatter (which I like) and the pickups have a little more midrange snarl (which I like). New #1. 1
saturn
Just getting around to checking this out. I like the new PRS. It's understated and classy looking. Glad it plays as good as it looks. Congratz
