Heard of These Guys?

Silvertide has been around for more than a few years. They're out of Philly & I don't know if they're still together, but they rock damn good. I hadn't seen anyone mention them in a post, so I decided to enlighten someone.

They haven't been together for a few years now. The one guitar players who shredded too much went on to join Shinedown last year...and then he left earlier this year to go solo.

I saw them w/ Def Leppard about 2-3 years ago. Never heard of them before that.

They really kicked azz. Probably the only band to blow me away upon

hearing / seeing for the first time. To me they seem like a blend of The Black Crowes &

Tesla (two bands I like a lot!). Check out "Show & Tell", that disc rocks. Lots of great Les Paul

all over it. I wish they would have been able to record and tour more. Kinda sad really...

I thought they were way better than most of the newer bands that are touring, getting radio play

and raking cash.

Silvertide did indeed kick serious rock and roll ***!

 

I saw them three times, got a chance to meet them all once.

Show and Tell is a MUST HAVE for any rock collection.

 

The latest band to catch my ear (and playing in a similar vibe paying homage to the 70's) is The Answer.

Hopefully they will have better luck keeping it together than Silvertide did....

 

 

Honestly, Silvertide had all the ingredients of a great band.

Great songs, great singer and killer musicians - and zero support from rock radio or their record label.
