BIGBENDS
Silvertide has been around for more than a few years. They're out of Philly & I don't know if they're still together, but they rock damn good. I hadn't seen anyone mention them in a post, so I decided to enlighten someone.
solacematt
They haven't been together for a few years now. The one guitar players who shredded too much went on to join Shinedown last year...and then he left earlier this year to go solo.
HeadCase
I saw them w/ Def Leppard about 2-3 years ago. Never heard of them before that. They really kicked azz. Probably the only band to blow me away upon hearing / seeing for the first time. To me they seem like a blend of The Black Crowes & Tesla (two bands I like a lot!). Check out "Show & Tell", that disc rocks. Lots of great Les Paul all over it. I wish they would have been able to record and tour more. Kinda sad really... I thought they were way better than most of the newer bands that are touring, getting radio play and raking cash. BIGBENDS... great subject of enlightenment! NeoConMan
Silvertide did indeed kick serious rock and roll ***! I saw them three times, got a chance to meet them all once. Show and Tell is a MUST HAVE for any rock collection. The latest band to catch my ear (and playing in a similar vibe paying homage to the 70's) is The Answer. Hopefully they will have better luck keeping it together than Silvertide did.... Honestly, Silvertide had all the ingredients of a great band. Great songs, great singer and killer musicians - and zero support from rock radio or their record label.
