Slogold
I'm suppose to meet the owner @ noon today for this Gibson. I'll will be buying it for $575, you think this is a good deal?
Tim Plains
Isn't that a Vintage Mahogany? I think they're $700 new. I'd say that's a fair price. After all, it is an American made Gibson. ...but offer him $500 - $525.
Slogold
Isn't that a Vintage Mahogany? I think they're $700 new. It's either a worn brown or cherry, but the owner stated that it's a cherry finished. So, should I bite?
Tim Plains
Play it before deciding. What's your budget?
esch
Hopefully you can plug it in and hear it?? If the neck is good and you like the wood and sound, that seems reasonable but R9 knows better than I do.
Slogold
Play it before deciding. What's your budget? Good idea. Not really wanted to buy another guitar, I am more in need of an amp than another guitar right now. A low wattage tube 15W or lower, any recommendations? Also, I have never tried one but the Egnator Rebel just seems like it would be a bad a$$ little amp. 1 - 20 watts variable plus it has both a 6l6 and an el34 which can be used exclusively or blended. Great ideas. No idea about the guitar but all hardwood? Really? You can't say maybe what kind of wood?
Twiz
That's a pretty good deal for a LP Studio Faded. I'd say get the amp though if you need the amp. I've heard good things about those Orange Tiny Terror 15 Watt amp heads.
Les Paul Fanatic
Go $525 and not a penny less and like the guys say try before you buy.
badguitarist91
That's a pretty damn good deal. I'd get her and custom paint her body and leave the neck plain. That's just me though, I don't really dig the flat mahogany finish. Maybe if it were spalted maple.
BIGBENDS
I think you'd have more fun with a new amp. If you don't mind a 30W amp, the Peavey Delta Blues 115 is sweetness for about $600.00, maybe less. The 15" belts out nice bottom and clean, crisp highs. Try it. You might like.
