But... it's interesting how these guys are so similar to a lot of other old "country" musicians who never left home and never became so famous - and whose styles didn't catch the fads. I remember one old fiddler who'd get any audience of any age just a-hoppin'. Imagine a white guy with the same lack of fancy musical background and playing a fiddle laid on his left arm instead of under his chin...
