dmeds
I suppose for brand name sake, Luthier's Choice Fretboard Conditioner made by Gibson. Cheers, Play On!
sjtalon
Don't use anything but some lighter fliud to clean it. 0000 steel wool will work good to clean the grime off as well.
bobv
Quite true, ebony doesn't need oil, but of course it might get gunked up after awhile so lighter fluid or naptha is the ticket. Don't be afraid to use a little super-fine steel wool or scotch brite with it. When it's clean, ebony is so close-grained and hard that it really doesn't absorb anything. If it makes you feel better you can dress it with the slightest amount of boiled linseed oil or Fret Doctor or Lemon Oil or just play it while eating fried chicken (I think I covered all the usual advice from "what to use on my fretboard" threads, no?). You can't hurt an ebony fingerboard.
