jertum
Afternoon, I've been thinking about getting speed knobs for my 09 LP as i prefer the look and feel of them to the ones on it at the moment. Only thing is, i'm dubious to take the originals off as I don't want to damage them or the guitar. They seem to be stuck on hard. Any suggestions on how to get them off would be greatly appreciated! Strider
Use a guitar cleaning cloth. Wrap it under the knob, bring it up over it & slowly pull the knob up & off. That's the free & easy way. If you feel that you can't do it or will risk damage, then take it to a luthier. A more costly way is this:http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Tools/Special_tools_for:_Cleaning,_maintenance/Knob_and_Bushing_Puller.html
The Mick
Speed knobs for when you need to absolutely positively slam the volume off quick for that sudden ending.

Just be careful and apply even, slow pressure when pulling up and the same when putting the new knobs on so you don't damage the pots.
deepblue
I use a shoelace.....loop it around both side of the knob and gently apply upwards pressure.....carefull, it pops off so be prepared.
