jeroen
I was wondering if the bridge on this gibson is a genuine gibson bridge? Since I haven't seen a bridge like this one on other gibsons... it's a 1984 SG special jr.
Dub-T-123
I think it's a Schaller which would have come stock at that time. I'm not an expert on this era of Gibson though.
duane v
Tuners aren't OE and neither is the bridge....
pohatu771
This is actually a 1984 Gibson Special. It wasn't actually an SG model - it was the SG-shaped version of the Gibson Spirit that was also produced at that time. That said, a Schaller bridge would be original. The tuners, as far as I can tell, are original, though they could be replacements. Here's a similar guitar... produced as an Epiphone a few years earlier:
duane v
I stand corrected I've seen those guitars with different bridges..... Those guitars with the single humbuckers were prime candidates for floydrose or kahler trems back in the 80's
Twiz
Original bridge or not, that's a really cool guitar. Thanks for the pic. I dig it.

Did you get a good deal on it? I want a good SG that I'm not afraid to beat the crap out of. I want to find a faded special for like 200 bucks and mod it. pohatu771
I've been watching it... went a little high for my tastes. I have a Spirit, I'd kind of like a Special to go with it.

Izzy
For the record there are noserial numbers on the back, but here's a closer look at the logo...in case you might suspect tis not real.
Blackie
After some looking on the ETSG site your guitar looks like an SG Standard from 73 to 78 that has a different pick guard, and tuners may have been changed everything else could be origonal
