matiac
This is all the stuff I've had that's now gone except my Epiphone, I'm keeping it because I'd never get what I've got into it: The only thing I don't have a picture of is the Yamaha Hundred 212 amp, and the Marlboro Martin I currently own. Wait here's one more that got sold: Not a guitar, but it got sold nonetheless, I don't have a picture of the Ashland L.P. Jr. doublecut copy I had either, but all these things had to be sold to try to keep me/mines heads above water, and it just ain't working. There's no work up this way unless I want flip burgers, which aint gonna pay the bills unless I work a double every day, or deal Blackjack at the Casino, and their laying off now, or hop back in a truck and drive O.T.R., and hopefully get stuff caught up. I do still have both acoustics, the bass, my mandolin, and my Epiphone, the crate B20 amp, and my Zoom 505II. My kid had to sell off her Mini Strat so she could go the the frikkin' movies with her friends, and it killed me I couldn't help her out because I simply didn't have the money. Everyone's telling me to get help from the state, and my pride's just about gone enough that I may do that. Looks like I'm gonna be a trucker again against Doc's advice because of my back, but I gotta do something. Not asking for pity, just showing what the persent situation in this country has done to me personally, and the picture of me is pretty much how I feel about it all the time. Maybe I should sell dope or something, I dunno.

Tim Plains
For the record, there's no shame in asking for assistance. My closest friends are construction workers and when there's no work, they ALL hop on the unemployment train. Hope things turn around for you. Thundergod
Did you sell that kick-yer-*** expression too? You've let go of some nice equipment man... I got a question, did you sound as good with that as you do now?
matiac
There's a company called U.S. Express that's interested in me, the only hitch is I have to go to driving school for a refresher course, which is only a day, but it's gonna cost a hundred bucks, and it's in Pawtucket R.I., on the other side of the state. I do have some radio gear I don't use anymore for sale, had a few nibbles on that, hopefully I'll get a taker on it, they're getting a deal on it with everything thats there, I dunno we'll see, but the recruiter at U.S. said if I can't make at least 900 bucks a week, I'm spending too much time at truck stops, they are 48 state and Canada, so I'm thinkin' at least 3000 miles a week at 41 cents a mile for company drivers would be a pretty tidy paycheck, we'll see. matiac
Hey Thundergod, listen to "Funky Armadillo", I did that with the Goldtop, and "Barhoppin'" was done with the SG, "Reverend Billy" was done with the Ashland, "Dead Of Night" was done with the Telecaster on rhythm, and the Epiphone on lead duty, "Freeflight" was done with the Epiphone pre-mod, "Days End" was done with the Telecaster. You tell me.

DeVeeWee
I go with Are Nine about asking for help from the state. Guitarandfeather, don't mind what the people say or see because 'the people' already have an image of you, that's called 'perception'! 'The people' have an image of me, and of everyone else on this forum... What counts is, how you deal with it! You want to know my strategy? I go out to seek for help from the state and let 'the people' think what they want, 'cause it's my life and I want to survive. And you know, in one year, 'the people' doesn't recall what you were asking to the state, because they have already a new victim to follow-up. Mate, you just have one life, and if there's help from the state possible, grab it with both hands... Wishing you all the best mate! Kris
