Rui Barata
I'm learning guitar scales...I've been trainning the C Major scale. Which one do you think would be a natural progression next? Thanks
flyingarmadillo
I learned them by the Circle of Fifths so; G Major, then D Major, then A Major...
Riffster
Are you playing the scale in a single position? one mode? or did you learn the C Major scale with all of its modes?
Rui Barata
Thanks for your replies I've been learning C Major Ionian, only. I would like to go to the next and see if I can find the relation between them.
FirstMeasure
You want to find some relations? Learn the A minor Scale next, then you'll know what they mean by Relative Minor.
Thundergod
What kind of music do you play?
rocketman
In addition to Thundergod's question I have a couple too. How long have you been playing? What chords do you know?

Rui Barata
In addition to Thundergod's question I have a couple too. How long have you been playing? What chords do you know? I play mainly rock and all the other hard and heavy stuff. I know all the main chords, some minors, etc...I can play rhythms, some difficult ones, but my problem is that I don't know nothing about solos. I want to memorize all the notes in the fretboard and learn all the theory behind it. I learned "Smoke on the water" back in the beginning of the 80's....just like many of us.
