I use Boss Compressor(s) 2 & 3, and they've always done what I needed. I have never liked compressors and never used them. Don't care much for them but this one I'm gettin' is worth every penny (and costs lots of 'em!) Every explanation I've gotten so far on what a compressor does has ended in me thinking "So what? Big deal." I know, I'm in no hurry to pick one up.
