You Canucks have exported some decent bluesy rock in the form of the Tragically Hip.

Listening to Up To Here as I type this...

"Had my hands in the river, my feet back up on the bank

Looked up to the Lord above and said 'Hey man, thanks'....

Sometimes I feel so good I gotta scream,

She said 'Gordie, baby, I know exactly whatcha mean'...."

Yes Neo...Old Hip was great...I can't listen to anything past "Fully Completely"

Get the albums Road Apples (My fav), Up To Here (as mentioned) and Fully Completely...

In my opinion they got too folky and weird after that....those are three great albums and the song you chose Neo is killer!!! nice riff!

I should mention i saw The Hip in Seattle while I was living there....i swear on my life that there was maybe 4 American citizens there.....and the place was sold out.....these guys are definitely Rock Stars in Canada....

Your assessment of their catalogue is dead on, I agree 100%.

Up To Here/Road Apples are fantastic, Fully Completely hinted at the weirdness to come like you said.

I saw 'em in Houston in the early nineties, great show.

I cant stand the Hip!...It sounds like hes driving over speed bumps when he sings.

I rate them even lower than GNR...and for me THATS SAYING ALOT. lol

I agree with this when it comes to anything after Fully Completely....his voice picked up more of that waver as they moved along....

The old stuff is just nice groovy stuff...nothing too fancy...
