bkharmony
Dang it dude, I really want this. Wish it had come up when I'm not struggling financially. FWIW, is the neck one of those baseball bats?
henryj7
Hi there Can the price be negotiated? Do you have more picks of the body? How much is the shipping to Canada?
Jinder
I love this guitar. LG1s are great, and this is a stunning looking example. I would snap it up in a moment if I wasn't so poor :-(

zombywoof
Yeah, the necks on those things are about as thin as you are going to find. Gotta a question -- I have seen a bunch of '65 Gibson and Epi's - both electric and acoustic - with that iced tea burst. Was that the only year that particular burst used? ksdaddy
I had an Epiphone Cortez back in '85 with the exact same burst. No clue what year it was.

zombywoof
I had an Epiphone Cortez back in '85 with the exact same burst. No clue what year it was. I have seen a '65 Epi Frontier and Casino and a '65 Gibson 335 with that same burst. 1965 is the year though that Arnie Berlin took over CMI and changed the way Gibson built guitars so I am wondering if that has something to do with the introduction of a new burst. Taylor Player
So is this the same finish as the cherry burst Gibson started using on the LG guitars in '61? Hey ZW.... Suburudes burst is certainly lighter than the Cherry Burst on my 1964 LG1. Only goes to show' date=' nobody makes a burst, (no matter the color) as nice as Gibson! Here is my 1964 Cherry Burst LG1 (Mine has the 1 5/8" nut width which is a bit fatter than the necks they started using in 1965. In tehir catalogs, Gibson described that neck profile they came up with 1960 as something like slim, low, fast action necks. Guess it was all the rage in 1960 to make the necks slimmer. Still, all in all, I prefer the pre-1960 roundback necks Ain't nuttin' finer on this planet than a Gibson burst. I recall reading that Ted McCarty thought the best thing he ever did with Gibson was develop the ES-335 (this coming from the guy whose shop came up with the Les Paul). When debating what color to make the first ones, McCarty said only a burst would do as it was a much a Gibson trademark as their logo.
