thejay Posted May 9, 2010 Share Posted May 9, 2010 My brother-in-love has the same guitar, plays really nice and has a cool sound. I don't play many guitars with a maple neck and it has zero give to it like mahogany though I kind of like it. Shame you haven't bonded with her... Murph Posted May 9, 2010 Share Posted May 9, 2010 Sorry to hear it Blackie. As much as I love SG's I never liked the idea of a maple board on one. My '79 SG has an ebony board, and it's the only electric I own that has an ebony board. My J45 acoustic does too.
