GibsonAlmighty
3 screws on TRC cover on Gibson Acoustics, is it a fake?
rar
3 screws on TRC cover on Gibson Acoustics' date=' is it a fake?[/quote'] No. This sort of thing happened in '74. It is grossly overpriced, however -- as a rule, '74 J-50s are pretty horrible guitars, and they sell for about half what this guy is asking on ebay. -- Bob R
KL
+1 That is WAY too much for that guitar.
BigKahune
Bad pics, but it looks like that top is breaking up against the neck.

zombywoof
Yikes - that guy sure ain't bashful about the asking price. The last couple of mid-1970s J-45s I saw up for sale went in the $800-$900 range and even at that price hung on the shop wall for months. But I would be willing to bet someone will buy it and within a few hours of getting it in their hands be on some forum proclaiming it a tone monster that plays like buttah. pohatu771
I'd be hesitant to pay even $900 for a guitar of that era, especially without seeing it in person. I got my J-45 for that (which isn't typical, I admit). For the same price (or less), you could get an Elitist J-45 or Texan.
acoustic idiot
oooh scary. i almost called the guy but thought about it when i noticed the headstock. looks like the tuning pins are spray painted, and the headstock almost seems plastic. but, it maybe just a bad picture. either way i get a bad vibe from it.
