It has the growl...it has the cleans. You get a better tone when you tweak the nobs on your les paul or semi hollow...done! Youtube videos dont do justice for this amp. If you call ahead, sometimes they're there on Saturdays and they'll let you in. But you have to make arrangements. I just might be going by there Thursday. We'll see how trafic is leaving Los Angeles. For $1,595.00 this is a great recording amp. You can even gig with it in larger rooms if you mic it.
