Been here for a bit, thought it'd be time to show my baby

I know it's just a Dot Studio, but I really love it and love the way it feels. Plays alot nicer than the price would indicate.

Also I've looked at alot of them in store and none had a fretboard as dark and rich in color as this one.

Anyway here she is

Eventually saving up for a Casino, just loved the way that guitar felt and played. So light, and great action.

Thanks for looking!

Welcome from another newbie! I never cared much for semi-acoustics(or acoustics for that matter). Too baroque, crowded with the knobs and f-holes. This one has a very understated look. A dot without the dots. I like it!

Zappa-fan eh?

I used a magic marker to darken the fretboard on that one before I returned it to the store.[-(

Dunno where you're getting that factoid from, the website and catalogs list the FB material as rosewood... not unusual to see a bit of black tint on them though.

That being said, the Dot Studio is a real sleeper, plays great and sounds good too, all at a price that is unbelievably affordable. Good choice.

I have one just like yours. It was a gift from my son - maybe not my first choice but it does play quite well. Since I love P90-loaded guitars (I had an ES330 and a SG Special in the 60s), I'm gonna put GFS Mean 90's on my Dot. They just arrived and hope to install them soon, with the help of my jam buddy. I'll let you know if this converts the Dot into a quasi-Casino.
