iansmitchell
Epiphone would make one of these: I'm almost to the point of wanting to buy a goldtop and put some GFS minihums in it... Of course, I KNOW I'd end up going townshend on it and putting a full size humbucker in it... The only les paul deluxe gibson is still making is like 5000 dollars... I'd like a zero off of that for an epi. (~500)

The_Sentry
Well, Ian...I look at it this way: At least Epiphone offers ya some kind of Goldtop to play on, even if it isn't your exact specific model. *sniff* Oh woe is me! No Goldtop for the lefties!! (Posts picture and then starts crying like a little girl 'cause there's no GAS to be had...)
iansmitchell
I know it's not got a lefty... But the minihums is a bigger issue to me than paintjob. I am really peeved they made the only epi firebird have full sized HBs, WTF? I think, if you can tolerate a non-epi, SX has a goldtop lefty... TheX
I would like the deluxe as well, I have the '56 Epi RI and the Elitist '57 goldtop so the deluxe would round it out completely.

Svet
Shoot, I wish Gibson still made one; I'd buy a wine red or an Ebony one tomorrow. Svet

I believe Duncan makes minis with the proper LP-D rings (as opposed to the flat Firebird style surrounds). The LP-D ring is just a P-90 cover with the center cut out to fit the mini. Here's my Gibby LP-D, originally I put P-90s in it but now I have Bill Lawrence minis:
