Thermionik
My first thought was why - it's horrible, but then..... ..... I thought I might just go down this route 66:
IntelligentAl
I have to admit, this is a much better solution than those stickers that cover the entire body of the guitar. I wouldn't do it myself, but putting stickers on the plastic parts is ok, I guess.
mgrmatt
Hey Therm, What color is the LP your thinking about putting the stars and stripes on? Matt
Thermionik
Well - its only a cheapo copy (one o' they Rockwood by Hohner things) and its a red 'burst, so, as is, it would look really bad, but I am wondering about either: Stripping it back to the wood - risky 'cause I have no idea what that looks like, or Sanding down and painting it up - maybe red, white or blue. Or red. white AND blue..... Don't play it much (Sheraton and Tele getting the most plays these days) but it might encourage me to look at some other issues (pup wiring and frets). I'm really just thinking out loud, but the Stars and Stripes covers look just fine..... except I wonder if they would stand up well to playing. IntelligentAl
Good point, Thermionik. I would imagine that it wouldn't take long for the pickgaurd one to get really messed up.
