Luap Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Hi there, look at this page... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/compare?base_pid=518295&base_pid=518549&base_pid=518553&base_pid=518413 The Lennon Casinos have USA P-90's, the Elitist and the normal Casino "normal P-90's" What is the difference?
frenchie1281734003 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Hi there' date=' look at this page... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/compare?base_pid=518295&base_pid=518549&base_pid=518553&base_pid=518413 The Lennon Casinos have USA P-90's, the Elitist and the normal Casino "normal P-90's" What is the difference?[/quote'] I think those Musicians friend spec sheets are a bit off, as far as I am aware, the Elite/Elitist Casino`s have made in the USA Pickups (whether by Gibson or not I am unsure). I have been told that the Elitist P-90`s are wax potted, and those on the Lennon reissues aren`t. Also of note, those spec sheets state that the Lennon Casino`s have Chrome h/ware, when in fact they have Nickel! So I would take most of what`s said there with a pinch of salt.
mgrmatt Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Frenchie is correct about the accuracy of the specs listed on MF website, I usually go to the Gison Epi website if I'm needing specs. mgm

It's interesting to look at the options and price difference. Just looking at it as if I where a buyer, I'd have to go with an Elitist for $ 1,000 saving over the USA Assembled models....
