animalfarm
Ebay link: (Seller wants $8,500.00) Would GIBSON have used such cheesy-looking tuners? http://cgi.ebay.com/1960-Gibson-Les-Paul-Jr-dc-Exqusite-Original-Condition_W0QQitemZ330366885614QQcategoryZ33040QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp2773.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26itu%3DUCI%252BUA%252BP%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BIIUM%26otn%3D10%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63
Swoop
Why not? I'm sure 3 on a plate tuners were pretty common back then.
JohnMcClane5000
cheesy-looking tuners? Are you for real? Those are the best-looking tuners in guitar-history! At least better-looking than the ones Rickenbacker puts on their guitars at the moment (edgy Schaller ones)... $8,500 seems reasonable for this sort of guitar I mean taken from the pictures it's in pristine condition...! Goldie
I had a 1960 Special(2xP90) with the same Kluson tuners.
Guest
Well personally if I really wanted a Les Paul Jr I'd just buy a new one for a fraction of the price, they're one of the cheaper Gibson models out there. And yeah I'm not wild about Klusons either to be honest, but they would be the original tuners for sure. Some people love them but give me some nice Grovers any day. matiac
Real deal. Genuine article. SG Juniors had/have the same type of tuneroonies. Nice axe, little spendy though.
animalfarm
Ok, guess it's the real deal - just this 1st time I've seen Gibson use the 3-on-a-strip style...
