fpd4308
I am looking at buying a 56 goldtop reissue tomorrow and just wanted to see what the opinions are about this guitar. It is used but pristine. The cost is 425.00 with epi case. Thanks
lpfan
Thats not a bad deal. I paid $499 plus $75 for the case. Of course it was brand new but I still didn't get a bargain. You are getting a pretty fair deal. You will love the P90's. They are great!
stumblinman
It's a great guitar. Smooth and easy to play. Nice neck profile and the P-90's are nice. Enjoy it!
jcwillow777
I love the neck on mine. I'm not a P90 guy, so I put a set of minis in it, I absolutely love it now. One of my favorite guitars. Sounds like your getting a pretty descent deal. I paid $560 for mine, new with Epi case.

Guest icantbuyafender
My '56 goldtop... goldie... is my most played guitar. Im with jcwillows on this one, as I too put mini humbuckers in mine. Its hard to put it down! and kudos to the neck profile!
fpd4308
The guitar is now in my possession. Thanks to all of you for the Advice. So far I really like it. Sounds really good clean. I don't like the feel of the switch but I would guess it's probably not a switchcraft switch. Might have to change that out. The guy just had it professionally setup 2 weeks ago so it plays like butter. Guess it's time to plug it in to my stack and play it dirty. I will post a new family photo shortly. Thanks again. Doug Awesome! Congrats! You must post pics! Its the law!!!!! I agree with you on the switch. Mine feels like crap too on my Goldtop. I may even put some mini-humbuckers in it now that I have the Gibby doublecut wP100's. I like the way the mini's look.
Bender 4 Life
The stock 3-way in mine lasted less than 20 "flips"...........having to replace it is common And the input jack was bad when I got it (brand new)........having to replace it is common other than the cheapo electronics, I like mine.
