nomar_redsox5
I just bought this Casino off of eBay, haven't paid for it yet, but wanted to make sure it wasn't a fake before I actually did. As far as I know it looks good but don't know for sure and was surprised at the low number of bids this one had. Any help would be great, thanks, here is the listing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110539909006&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT http://i45.tinypic.com/5p4m6t.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/25stmyd.jpg

93DMTX1281734249
I was thinking that I'd never heard of a Casino being faked...but, a quick scan of one of the infamous faker websites shows a bunch...one from Guangdong for $204 for instance. I'm in no way saying this one is fake. Just gotta be vigilant.
kiddakidda
Looks like a cracker and geniune. Are you picking it up? You could always have a good closer look then. I have the Riviera P93 custom and I love it. PUPs are a bit muddy tho.
93DMTX1281734249
Sure they do fake 'em! Some weeks ago there was a link to e-bay' date=' showed a seller who had a lot of "new" lefty Casinos serial# Io1........... they even offered winered Lefty casinos......... at a price, which couldn't be legit and shipped directly from China Peter[/quote'] Baaaahhhhh, I still think all the counterfeit stuff is a conspiracy... Used market gets a bad rap...drives people to buy only new...hmmm, who does benefit? BTW, did you just see those black helicopters go by?

nomar_redsox5
Thanks for the help guys. I thought it looked legit just wanted to make sure.
hastingsgear
I think it's the same guy. If I plug the serial num into the guitardaterproject, I get a hit in Korea. Did he steal serial numbers? Oh well. Too bad. Where to get a lefty casino....?
Swoop
Lefty Casinos have been available in the past, but seem to have been discontinued in recent years. Most of them were Natural finished, but a few were available in Cherry and Vintage Sunburst I believe. DV247.com still lists a left handed Casino in Cherry, (Discontinued) so that suggests that perhaps you could get a lefty Casino in Cherry in the past. They're an authorised Epiphone Dealer I believe, so it wouldn't be one of those fake Ebay ones. Best bet to find a lefty will be on the used market I think. More likely to be a genuine Epiphone if it's finished in Natural I think. Here are a few pics of some Lefty Casinos I dug up This one belongs to forum member 'Bluelake07' I believe. This one is another forumer's, 'dubstar'. It's a 2005 Saein apparently. And another thanks to google. One in sunburst
kiddakidda
Lefty Casino I was going to bid on this lefty Casino on eBay but now I fear this is a fake. If so' date=' how do we stop this guy?[/quote'] This concerns me as I have also got thoses iffy gibson pickup stickers on my recently purchased SG Custom, which is also supposed to be around 10 years old from Korea!!! hastingsgear
I've had my eye on Jerry's Lefty Guitars. It sounds like he doesn't get them in often, though. One option is the Peerless Songbird. I've heard the neck is thin, though. Thin doesn't work well with me. Another option is buy a righty, flip the nut, and re-string it. I wonder how Macca has his set up? Roswell
McCartney has a right-handed sunburst Casino (with a Bigsby) flipped over, yea. New nut and you're good to go.
