New 335 Vintage sunburst

Just picked up a Epiphone 335 in Vintage sunburst. Sorry, for the internet picture but no camera at the moment. The family went away on vacation for a week and took the cameras. I had to stay home and work, so I rewarded myself. It is beautiful, and seems to sound great.

I'm no expert on sound quality anyway. I'm a 49 year old beginner, I had a acoustic guitar in the house for a few years hoping one of the kids would pick it up. My 14 year old daughter took the bait and is currently taking lessons. Shes going to be a great player.

Last spring I got her a Gibson SG special in wine red (not a faded special). It is a great guitar, her guitar teacher loved it, and it inspired him to buy a SG of his own.

This image is the first day she got it. Just before she chipped the head stock on the ceiling fan.

Great 335. If you enjoy it as much as I like my Dot335 Studio you'll be in love.

I assume that your beautiful daughter got her mothers looks! ( since you've used yours up!)

There's not much cooler than a georgeous girl with a cool SG!

We were practicing in a house and I did the headstock chip and broke a $1000 plus chandelear.

Congrats to you and your daughter..... have fun!!

Welcome to the forum, feldkeen!

I am a big believer in giving yourself "little rewards" for all of your hard work and dedication to your family ... way to go on this one! B)

There's a nice couple of axes in your house, buddy. Enjoy them all!

Feldkeen, that's one beautiful 335 you got there. Just curious, is it made in Korea or China? I know what you mean

about treating yourself with your own hard earned money, once in a while (the family or house seems to get the bulk

of it, right?). I splurged on a Gibson CS-336 VS this past Spring with some of my bonus money from work. It's a beauty

and plays/sounds great. I hope you enjoy your Epi 335 for many years to come. I have two Epiphones myself.

A 2005 Sheraton II NA and a 2007 Les Paul Standard VS.

Good to see your daughter took interest in guitar and is taking lessons. Tell her to stick with the lessons. If she has a

good teacher, she'll be able to learn a lot and go far with it. I tried to get my daughters interested. My younger daughter took piano lessons when she was younger and played really good, but decided to give it up. Now both of them listen to

music (if that's what they want to call it; not my taste or style). Maybe if I would have had a boy.:)

I have a question :

I really love the Elitist series having the Sheraton, Casino, Les Paul, SG, J200 and J45...

But for the 335 sound, I got a 94' Sheraton II with Elitist pickups. The finish on this one is great but I wonder if there is a huge difference between this modded Sheraton and the Elitist Dot. I know that the Sheraton got maple neck and laminated maple body compare to mahogany neck and Maple/Birch for the Elitist. Can anyone give me an opinion ?
