Nico. I'm pretty sure Manny's is closed. Sam Ash is there, on 48th St so's Guitar Center. [blush]<<<<-----Sorry Al 028's correct Guitar Center's on 14th St. [blush][blush]

If you have a car and can manage a trip over or under the Hudson River, to NJ, Lark Street Music is a nice store http://www.larkstreetmusic.com (vintage stuff). There's also a store in Wayne, NJ, called Robbies Music Center http://robbiesmusiccity.com/shop/ that usually has a nice assortment of guitars.

Are you going to be any other place in the NY area - is a trip an 1-1/2 hour north of NYC possible?

Well, I'll be there mainly for visiting, so I think Sam Ash and Guitar Center will do just fine.

Merci from Montreal !

48th Street was called Music Row for the longest time and has Rudy's, Sam Ash, Mannys, 48th Street guitars and the whole bang between 7th and 8th avenues. Please check out Matt Uminov in Greenwich Village also if you get a chance, 50 blocks south but worth the trip.

+1 to Lark Street. They are closed on Saturdays.
