Â Last time I was in a big earthquake, in Seattle a few years back, it was strong enough to knock you off your feet and for a sec I began thinking if this keeps up I might not make it. Felt like standing on jello for a few minutes; or like that feeling you get when you ate on a boat all day then stand on dry land - kinda wobbly. Â Ironically, I am a structural engineer and I think about EQ's literally every day. It makes me feel good to see no damage/injuries - must be doing something right. fp Posted July 29, 2008 Share Posted July 29, 2008 I felt it. I live about 15 miles from the epicenter and was on a job hanging a door when it hit today. It was a good one but I've experienced at least three here that were lot's stronger. My sister lives in Chino Hills where the epicenter was and somehow she found out the epicenter was 758 feet from her house. Don't ask me how she know's that.
