jannusguy Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 i'd be curious to hear how this sounds. http://london.craigslist.co.uk/msg/761697185.html
rscott4079 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I think the most interesting thing is that it looks like a CF-100, rather than a J-45. I guess the larger body makes it a "non-standard" J-45.
TM Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I would guess that is the same very unique cut away J45 that was on Ebay some time ago. It brought a great deal of money. I'm not sure if this a legit offer. I don't know what the pounds translates in $. It was discussed on the UMGF and most people did not like the cut away look, I do like it. Maybe one of a kind. Terry
rscott4079 Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 I don't know what the pounds translates in $. I think 2600 pounds is like a million dollars or something isn't it?
TWilson Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I think 2600 pounds is like a million dollars or something isn't it? 2600 pounds is 1.3 tons.
zombywoof Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 My queston would be did George Gruhn actually have the guitar in his hands when he evaluated it or was it one of his $35 dollar through the mail assessments (where you just send him photos and what info you have). The ad only says "viewed" by Gruhn. With the guitar being in the UK chances are Gruhn did not actually have it for a full inspection.
Johnt Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 I think 2600 pounds is like a million dollars or something isn't it? Ok I am gonna make you an offer you can't refuse I will fly over, take a limo to your door and present you with £26,000 You give me $10,000,000 and we're quits! Then I cordially invite all form members to a knees up in Vegas for the weekend! But only if above trade occurs! BTW just to be completely anal and pedantic 2 600 U.S. dollars = 1 348.40784 British pounds LOL John
jefleppard Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 that's what i love about brits and commonwealthers in general...so gracious!
brians356 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 A large number of misspelled words in that craigslist post (mohogany, celloid, ...) not the usual form for a Brit. Also it looks like very little saddle peeking out of the bridge. 1 British pound = ~2 US dollars.
