Rocky4
Apparently there is a book and DVD by Gibbons explaining his fascination with cars and guitars. Anybody seen or heard anything?
Mr. Natural
I bought the book a couple of years ago. It's great; a lot of pictures of just that - his cars and guitars. I haven't seen the DVD. It wasn't available (I don't think) back when the book was published.
cdntac
The book came out in 2005. Never heard of a DVD version though they do have two concert DVDs out (one of a show in Texas while the other DVD is a show from 1980 in Germany and has a second disc with shows from a tour within the past couple of years). Dennis G
Haven't seen either, but did happen to see a couple of Billy's cars "in the flesh" so to speak at the Petersen Auto Museum in LA about 10 years ago, as well as a couple of his guitars (no, not Pearly Gates). Part of a "Cars and Guitars" showcase. Lot's of interesting rides and axes by some pretty famous folks.
surfpup
I bought the book a few years ago. It's good. One of those coffee-table type books - large format, lots of pics.
46 and 2
I am getting the book for Christmas this year (now how did I know that?!?) I got to see Billys Mexican Blackbird 58 Ford Thunderbird up close while on a personal tour of SO-CAL Speed Shop in Pomona last summer. I have not heard of a complementary DVD to go along with the book though. Cars and guitars go together like whiskey and water.

Californiaman
I heard they were planning a Broadway musical based on the screen play.
surfpup
I heard they were planning a Broadway musical based on the screen play. Which means GLEE will then devote a whole show to destroying ZZ Top material!
Mr. Natural
Yet ANOTHER reason not to watch Glee.
Twiz
Yeah, Glee irritates me. I saw one episode where they f$&@ed up an AC/DC song. I'm going to pick up the Rev's book. I didn't know he had one. He's so cool.
