Californiaman
This is a cool link to Mike Fuller's multi-amp setup. He's the owner of Fulltone's pedals. He runs certain effects to both amps and certain effects to the A channel and B channel and explains it. So... if you're interested.
ChanMan
Odd that he had no OCD pedal, huh?

LarryUK
I used to do a thing like that in my gigging days. I like a Double volume pedal (two pots) So that as you push it, one amp turs up as the other turns down. ie, Marshall full on and pull back to Fender on clean. So you can play clean and introduce the distortion slowly.
Versatile
My favourite thing at the moment is A/B between a Laney VC30 and a Roland Cube80 with adjustments for gain etc between them I can get gradations of clean to gain easily with a footswitch or two V <_<
