E-minor7
Pardon, have to tell you guys I fell for this lady today. My good friend came home from the far east, phoned and told me to check. Don't know where he found her, but she wraps me around her finger. Let there be POP ! Are those mid-toned acoustics 45's or SJ's. . . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UyZGFFTUvA

Mojorule
It is indeed a lovely song. But am I alone in hearing the echoes of 'Mandela Day' in it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-vZgxJIpuc&feature=related
Gilliangirl
Ahh, she has such a velvety voice Is she an up-and-comer? I'd say there's a good chance! And thanks for the walk down memory lane, Mojo. I used to love that song, and pretty much everything else Simple Minds did.

The pulse is there, so is the signature vox-line. The 3 opening chords belong to us all, but I think you're right - still she steers free. . . Just fun to spot those unconscious influences or total coincidences... I think I like her song more than Jim Kerr's - despite the historical importance of said Simple Minds tune. Glad you liked, GG. brians356
Not exactly an upstart, the video I viewed was dated 2002. Her career has already waxed and waned by now. What are the stages in a player's career? 1. Who the hell is Freddie Fastpicker? 2. Get me Freddie Fastpicker. 3. Get me someone who plays like Freddie Fastpicker. 4. Get me a young Freddie Fastpicker. 5. Who the hell is Freddie Fastpicker?
E-minor7
You seem to have X-rayed the nature of showbiz brian. I know nothing 'bout this act, but found out that she had approx. 35 gigs in a handful of countries last year. Should be enough to make the circus breathe. . . brians356
The Wikipedia article said she performs in public only rarely due to "shyness" which I thought was a quaint way to put it. She changed her Swedish last name Edkvist to something vaguely Italian, why I can't guess. In one of her photos with short hair she looks startlingly like Natalie Portman, in others she looks something like Shania Twain.
E-minor7
Don't care if this fair maidens last name is Edkvist, Rubenstein or something Greek or Italien - I'm gonna change it anyway. . .
