jsa11 Posted April 3, 2011 Share Posted April 3, 2011 Finally got a hold of my first Sheraton II the other day. Its a 2005 model, made in Saein. Picked it up on ebay for a very reasonable price; the prev. owner even swapped out the jack and switch. The pics don't really do the finish justice, the wood grain that shows through is gorgeous on the front and the back. The 5 piece maple neck is a good bit thicker than the one piece on my MIK Casino, but I think I actually prefer the one on the Sheraton. The only nag I have is that the pickups sound a bit muddy, maybe some Gibson '57s are in my near future? I'll also probably swap out the pots and caps, and maybe add a TUSQ nut as well.
