gypsyseven
Maybe it´s just me, but it looks a little confusing to me with the frequensator tailpiese, mini humbuckers, etc.... http://cgi.ebay.de/Epiphone-Casino-1972-Japan-Gibson-Saiten-Selten-/270764175264?pt=Gitarren&hash=item3f0acd6fa0

Yeah, sorry just a mistake in writing...But the two "horns" look a little slim??? And do MIJ Epiphones have this label inside??? Unusual binding??? Unusual binding??? Sorry, model IDs aren't one of my strong suits, my memory isn't good enough to retain all that info, LOL. I'm sure someone will have some ideas on the points you raised though. vomer
It is real, it was one of the early Matsumoku models. Much more like the EA250 & EA255 than the 'real' Casino, e.g. bolt on neck. But I couldn't tell you when in the period '72-76 they were made.

Check out the excellent Unofficial Wiki Page. It's not really a Casino, and I would not advise buying one sight unseen unless you get an unconditional money back guarantee. Neck pockets are weak, and many have given out over the years.

clarkuss
Yep definitely. These were selling for crazy prices about a year ago. There was a walnut brown one that sold for about four or five hundred pounds. Never played one myself but apparently very hit and miss on quality
