A few years ago I was at a record store in Austin, TX for a solo afternoon acoustic gig by Steve Earle. His son, Justin, joined him for a song and when he forgot the chord progression, Steve ribbed him after the song and said - "Son, you're kinda like a campfire...cheerful, but not too bright" - I thought that was hilarious. Another quote I will always remember, by the late, great Townes VanZandt - "For me, there's two kinds of music.
