kaleb Posted August 20, 2011 Share Posted August 20, 2011 One of my favorites. He always had good tone. The man sure knew how to use the Tube Screamer! But I didn't like his tone when he played DSLs. Too high gain and fizzy. Same goes for his Soldano tone. Too gainy. The last few years of his life he used Plexis. Best tone I heard from him besides his original Plexi/JMP tone from the later 70s/early 80s. But the man always had a good sound. Its in the fingers. Ask Eddie Van Halen!
