lonesomeagle1
Impressive lineup..... Will never sell as a package though. Why not part it out? Probably looking to get some individual interest than sell as a whole. P
Eracer_Team
Turns out its a vintage dealer store here, not just an individual (didn't even know about them till I saw the "auction")
stein
It will be interesting to see what happens with it. It kinda resembles the the "investment" groups they were making about 7 years ago when it was thought that guitars were a great investment. They would put a group of different guitars together loosely modeled after a diversified stock-a little of this and that in hopes the chances of improving in value would be maxed. In this case though, it seems more likely a way to be able to unload some lesser value guitars at full value by offering as a group for someone who is willing to pay the bucks for collectables. But, it all depends on the value of that '60 burst, doesn't it? The minty condition of that burst IS a factor here, and as the prized burst LP's get older, finding one like that is going to get harder. BUT, I don't see much flame. And while it does have the original red color getting so rare now, the later 1960 ones with that tomato soup type red don't fade as much, and they are slightly different than the '58-59 finish. I guess the point is that there HAVE been burst that have been sold at some point for the half a mil mark (rumors, but still) and the "average" price of a burst is no where near reliable when you consider the factors of condition and flame. Is the world ready to consider condition over flame for the burst?
