Yngwie Malmsteem........Adding a girl to the show WOULD be interesting.....

I just think the other 3 have too many similarities. Malmsteen has a rawer unrefined edge to go with his shred, and arpeggiated sweeps. Then again, Marty Friedman or Paul Gilbert could be an option as well.

You realize there's Blues Festivals and other venues to enjoy the "Less is More" experience. If you go to a Gymnastics Meet do you complain that it's not Ballroom dancing?

And I find it interesting, add9, that you feel one of the founders of the G3's and G4's shouldn't be on the bill.

Good point about the "founder" thing, FirstMeasure. But, if Joe, don't mind, I don't mind.[biggrin]

I'd love to see Malmsteen tour with them again. The G3 Live in Denver is without a doubt the best one since the Live one with Eric Johnson who is another amazing guitarist. One of my favorites that he does is SRV.

Awesome Strat tone!

I forgot to add, in a perfect world Jason Becker would be free of disease and able to tour with these guys.

LOl! Maybe he needs a break. I actually agree with you about Joe's solo stuff. It's "Wow" at first, then Yep, he's still at it. Now if Chickenfoot was on the bill that would be the best.

I'll also say that Eric Johnson was the best third man on the bill. He's outstanding.

The best G3 would be if Chickenfoot and the David Lee Roth Band (Roth/Vai/Sheehan/Bissonette) Co-Opened and then Roth and Hagar each do a set with Van Halen (with Michael Anthony on bass) as the third act and then everyone come on for the big jam. [biggrin]

That would be something else! If only egos would allow it [biggrin]

Wow, total trip. I brought up Malmsteen, not knowing he had ever played with these guys. What are the odds? Great vids by the way. Definite keepers
