blindboygrunt
the excellent bbc programme 'songwriters circle' has three top english folk singer songwriters for this weeks show . i had only heard martin simpson before and i thought he was the best there was at fingerstyle guitar ( not interested in that australian show off ) but steve tilston gives him a run for his money . the show is excellent , even if you just watch them go through one song each you'll be better for it . inspiring stuff . just google bbc iplayer and you'll find it on there
Del Nilppeznaf
Sound good BBG.. I'll have a look ltr just for those outside UK..BBC1 iplayer is only available with a UK IP address..so a proxy would be needed. ..just so you dont get dissapointed if you try to watch it. Rambler
M Simpson is a good one. Whole school of English f/s: Davey Graham, Bert Jansch, John Renborn, Martin Carthy..

E-minor7
The mid60's back'n'forth thumb bass note fingerstyle in standard or more advanced chords (which might have been invented long before, but found some real good recordings up through that decade) mesmerized me from the first times I heard it, , , and still does. I thought – If could ever play like this, I'd be a happy man. Have to put young Donovan and his 1964 J-45 on the list.
